Race 6 (8.09pm)
It’s Bagman and Field Day here. Big name sprinters who have done extremely good things at Sandown Park have drawn the wings of the track.
Bagman has been tough lately. The last time he jumped from box 1 he was beaten by a pimple to Lakeview Emily. Field Day comes in hot with four wins in his past four starts.
Race 7 (8.30pm)
The big name pairing is Canya All Class and Ethanol Volume. Both started favourite and were unplaced in their respective McKenna heats last week.
Canya All Class is likely to be pushing wide from the draw. Hopefully we see his brutal power mid-race. Ethanol Volume will turn it on mid-race no matter what, it’s just a matter of how close he is to the front of the field.
Race 8 (8.54pm)
The McKenna. A race won by some great ‘600’ metre performers, back-to-back wins of Christo Bale (2020/21) one of the highlights on the honour roll.
The speed map looks to be in the hands of the Presutto duo Bebop Jazz and Without A Trace. If Without A Trace begins like she did at Pink Diamond, she’ll win.
Race 10 (9.39pm)
A couple of young up and comers meet a proven performer in the twilight of his career. Valedictorian and Slick Splits have both had less than 10 starts but show potential to be future Free-For-All performers at a minimum.
They meet the veteran Schillaci. While his numerical form is patchy, his trainer Talgi says he’s trialling just as well as he ever has.
